Steve Moris
Born
in 1955, the youngest of four sons, and a military brat, Steve attended
eleven schools by the time he graduated from high school. He attended
college at the University of Iowa, Santa Barbara City College, and UC
Santa Barbara where he excelled in theater.
Following his father's footsteps into the Air Force, Steve enlisted as an Arabic Linguist / Interpreter, but somehow managed to win first place in Security Service and second place worldwide in the 1978 U.S.A.F. Worldwide Talent Contest. He was presented his award by a prior winner, Jerry Van Dyke, who strongly urged Steve to pursue a career in entertainment.
Since that time, Steve Moris has traveled throughout the United States and Canada doing what he does best; comedy and music. He has performed countless openings and tours in concert with some of the biggest stars in the land, most recently Atlantic City and Las Vegas with The Beach Boys.
Steve headlined Chestnut Mountain Ski Resort in Galena, Illinois, every winter from 1984 until 1998. From this he built an enormous fan base in the surrounding five state area. As a consequence, he began featuring his show for Chamber groups, Rotary, Lions, Veterans, and others which lead him to some of the largest corporate and industrial stages. In 1987 Steve teamed up with a management company who placed him on major stages with famous 50's and 60's acts. These artists in turn introduced Steve to many contemporary acts such as Wynona Judd, Billy Ray Cyrus, and Tanya Tucker and soon he was off to the races in the Country market.
In 1989, Steve Moris co-hosted the "ROAD SHOW" on WLLR FM, Davenport, Iowa with Mike Kenneally, and they became the undisputed #1 morning radio team in the Quad Cities.
Today Steve is preparing even further for the speaking circuit as he is undergoing extensive study in corporate sales training. With his unique ability for bonding and rapport, he plans to share his experiences with sales people of all industries while integrating a system of effective communication and humor.
Steve Moris is an experienced emcee, speaker, and trainer as well. He has conducted seminars on Humor in the Workplace, DARE programs on drinking and drug abuse, high school students through the Young Life ministry, Special Olympics programs for athletes, as well as programs for students of all ages in underprivileged capacities.
